How to be the most stylish guy on earth by not trying

Caring about how you look, has absolutely nothing to do with fashion. I would even go so far as to say: those who need fashion magazines to dictate what they should wear don’t have a style. They are being told what to wear, which will NEVER be an expression of their identity.

I have a friend, who is the most stylish guy I know, and I will try to describe him:

He looks like a mess! He never shaves, but if he feels like it, he goes to a barbershop. He is picky when it comes to what he will wear, but never dictated to by fashion. He prefers vinyl to music streaming. He grinds his own coffee beans (it takes FOREVER to get coffee at his place, but it tastes amazing), the furniture in his condo includes antiques and brand new stuff. He likes to take care of his body; in terms of exercise and the food he puts into it. He has this old camera he takes pictures with – I think he got it from his grandad. He is straight-forward, gentle but blunt when stating his opinion. He is a great friend and he always knows the story behind the weird stuff he picks up from time to time and we can talk forever.

In my opinion that is what style is! He is 100% himself  … he IS his style. I guess we all know a guy like this, right? And secretly, I just want to be like him. But then again; Style is an expression of who you are, …not copying someone else.
